The Bainbridge Companies plans a groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday of a 224-unit unit apartment
project on Key Highway in Federal Hill.
The $66 million project will rise eight stories on a sliver of vacant land next to Digital Harbor High School. In planning since 2015, the luxury apartment building will feature a two-story fitness center, swimming pool, parking garage, bike storage, package lockers, pet spa and rooftop lounge. The project is being designed with “modern industrial influences.”
The Bainbridge Federal Hill will be the developer’s first project in Baltimore, but the Wellington, Fla.-based company currently has a portfolio of 21,000 apartment units in five states and Washington, D.C.
“We have been considering the Baltimore market for quite some time, understanding the city is very diligent about agreeing to the right multifamily projects. We worked closely and carefully with the city and surrounding neighborhood to design a community we all are excited about,” said Tom Keady, president of The Bainbridge Companies, in a statement. “A triumph of luxury and architecture, Bainbridge Federal Hill will offer discerning residents a stunning choice in one of Charm City’s most sought-after neighborhoods.”
The project is expected to be completed by mid-2019.
